Introduction
In this unit, students learn how to provide palliative care services aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals with life-limiting illnesses. The curriculum includes understanding palliative care principles that address both physical comfort measures as well as psychosocial needs of clients. Students also explore strategies for effective communication with clients facing end-of-life issues while providing emotional support for families during this challenging time.
