However, there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, but applicants should demonstrate the ability to perform tasks as required by the health industry.

Admission Requirements
  • 16 years of age and above at the time of commencement of the course.
  • Successful completion of an Australian Year 11 qualification or equivalent.
  • In addition to meeting the academic requirements applicants must demonstrate their competence in literacy and numeracy levels in an Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) at exit Level 3 and participate in a pre-training review when enrolling into the course.
  • Mature age students (22+) will also be considered without the minimum education requirements. Each case will be reviewed individually to ascertain the capacity of the student to meet course requirements
Digital Literacy

Student must possess basic computer skills which includes covering the most common usages of a computer, including managing computer files, word processing, using spreadsheets and databases; creating presentations; finding information and communicating using computers; and being aware of social and ethical implications of Internet use.

Pathways from this Qualification

Students who complete the BSB40520- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management may be eligible for direct entry into some of the higher-level qualifications.

In some cases, they may also receive credit for units completed in Certificate IV, potentially reducing the duration of the higher-level course

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Students must submit a portfolio of past evidence, which may include third-party assessments, and partaking in an interview procedure. Credit Transfer

Credit Transfer is only available for Australian qualifications when a student has completed the units considered necessary for a qualification at another Registered Training Organization.
